Class Clowns Participant Update

Due to COVID-19, unfortunately the NSW State Final (scheduled for Tuesday 17 March at Riverside Parramatta), the ACT Event (scheduled for Wednesday 18 March at Canberra Theatre Centre), the VIC State Final (scheduled for Sunday 22 March at ABC Radio Melbourne's Iwaki Auditorium), and the National Grand Final (scheduled for Friday 17 April at the Forum Melbourne) were not able to proceed as planned.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival is in discussion with co-presenters across the country in regards to closing out the year for our Class Clowns – Class of 2020 – finalists and participants. We’ll be in contact with participants directly over the coming months, but for any specific queries or concerns please contact Tom Dickins, Producer: Education and Development Programs, Melbourne International Comedy Festival at classclowns@comedyfestival.com.au.

Class Clowns will be back again in 2021, and we encourage all 2020 participants (should you still be eligible) to register your interest in participating in a workshop or heat in the new year. Click here for more info.

UPDATE 31 MARCH 2021

The 2021 Class Clowns National Grand Final was held at the Forum Melbourne as part of the 2021 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. More info can be found here.
